Stand straight. Shift your weight to your right foot and bring your left foot to the side of the sin, or the inner thigh or rest it on the hip crease. When it's on the hip crease, the sole of the foot faces the sky. (Don't place your foot on the knee joint.) Lengthen your tailbone toward the ground. Soften your shoulders away from your ears. Bring your hands together at your heart center. If you can, raise your arms up and take your arms wider. Feel the air. Breathing. Feel the energy from the ground.
Slowly return. Repeat on the other side. Tree is a symbol of the universe in Indian literature.I really like this pose.
Good for establishing strength and balance in the legs, concentration.
