The sun salutation is a great way to create heat and is the foundational sequence of yoga practice. Stand with your two big toes connected. Bring your hands in front of your heart center. Ground your feet to the mat. As you inhale, reach your arms up toward the sky. Exhale, fold forwards. Bend your knees and relax your back. Inhale, come into a flat back and look forward. Exhale, step back and come to plank pose. Press your hands into the mat. Shift your weight slightly forward and then bend your elbows. Come to Chaturanga pose. Inhale, push the mat with both hands and insteps. Lift your heart to the sky. Lift your thighs off the mat. Feel the shoulders sliding down the back.(Upward facing dog) Exhale, come into Downward facing dog. Place your feet to a comfortable position. Take some deep breaths. Bring both legs between your hands. Inhale, make your back flat. Exhale, fold forwards. Inhale, slowly return to a standing position.

*Good for starting your yoga practice, creating heat and awakening your body,
