Traditionally Fish Pose is performed with the crossed legs. This is an easier way.
① Lie on your back on the mat. Place your palms on the mat below your buttocks.
② Inhale, press your forearms and elbows firmly against the floor.Lift your torso and head away from the mat.
③ Exhale, and as you inhale, arch your back, lift your chest & place your head on the mat. Then exhale. Depending on how high you arch your back and lift your chest, either the back of your head or its crown will rest on the mat. Stay for 10 seconds at least with breathing.
To exit, as you exhale, lower your torso and head to the mat.
Therapeutic applications : mild backache, fatigue & anxiety.
